  • Sonny’s Sauna is a cosy countryside sauna experience created for rest, warmth, and connection. Located at historic Ballyglunin Railway Station, it’s a space to slow down, recharge, and enjoy the simple ritual of sauna in nature.

  • The sauna comfortably fits up to 5 guests per session.

  • Each booking lasts 50 minutes. We recommend arriving a little early so you can settle in and enjoy the full experience without feeling rushed.

  • Yes — the sauna area is sheltered with a privacy screen to create a more peaceful and comfortable atmosphere.

  • Stay well hydrated before and after your session — ideally start increasing your water intake the day before.

    Please bring a refillable water bottle with you.

    Take your time moving between heat and cool air and allow yourself a few quiet minutes to rest afterwards before heading home.

    Avoid wearing heavy skincare products, oils, fake tan, or makeup before entering the sauna.

    Please remove jewellery, watches, and metal accessories, as they can become very hot in the sauna.

    We also recommend arriving around 10 minutes early so you can check in and relax before your session begins.

  • Guests aged 16–17 are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

    Guests aged 18 and over may attend independently.

    Unfortunately, children under 16 cannot use the sauna.

  • If you are pregnant or have any health concerns — including heart conditions, blood pressure issues, epilepsy, or respiratory conditions — we recommend speaking with your doctor before booking.

    Please avoid using the sauna if you feel unwell, dizzy, feverish, or dehydrated.

  • No — alcohol and drugs are not permitted before or during sauna sessions.

    For everyone’s safety and comfort, we may refuse entry if someone appears intoxicated or unwell.

  • We offer two types of sessions:

    Private Sessions — reserve the sauna exclusively for yourself or your group.

    Social Sessions — share the sauna with other guests.

    Private sessions can be booked if the time slot is still available. As spaces are limited, we recommend booking ahead where possible.

  • Friday: 6pm – 9pm

    Saturday: 11am – 6pm

    We may expand our opening hours over time as Sonny’s Sauna grows.

  • Yes — guests have access to private changing pods beside the sauna.

  • Yes, toilet facilities are available on site.description

  • Yes — there is plenty of free parking on site.

  • Please bring swimwear, two towels (one for sitting on and one for drying off), a water bottle, and sandals or flip flops if you have them.

    Warm clothes for afterwards are also recommended, especially during colder months

  • High temperatures can sometimes affect certain glasses frames or lenses.

    If you are unsure, we recommend checking with your optician or using contact lenses instead.

    Sonny’s Sauna cannot accept responsibility for heat-related damage to personal belongings.

  • We ask for a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

    Late cancellations or missed bookings may not be eligible for a refund.

    If we ever need to cancel due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, guests will be offered either a rescheduled session or a full refund.

  • Please try to arrive around 10 minutes before your booking time.

    Sessions run to schedule, so arriving late may shorten your sauna time.
